June 2022 #2

Hello!

I’m having a great vacation/time away and today it got even better:

The Dept. Of Education has pushed rulemaking into April 2023 with expected implementation July 2024 - IHE article, "Biden Pushes Gainful Employment to Spring.

What does this mean for us? It means all of the amendments they wanted to make to the HEA in sections 668 and 600 didn’t reach consensus and thus they have to go back to the drawing board. It doesn’t mean we won’t see all of this again next year, but it does mean for now  we have time to reevaluate what it is we do as far as state authorization compliance and how we note compliance with regulations relating to professional licensure programs, how we catalog or document our compliance and how students are notified or the information is disclosed as required.

Take a deep breath, some time to relax maybe, but now we have room to review, refine and improve...

Well, after vacation that is.
