CU President Benson’s Statement on Pac-10 Membership

DENVER – Following is a statement from University of Colorado President Bruce D. Benson on CU’s move to the Pacific-10 Conference.

“The University of Colorado is a perfect match—academically and athletically—with the Pac-10. Our achievements and aspirations match those of the universities in the conference and we look forward to a productive relationship. This move will extend the reach of CU into areas of the country where we already have strong connections in terms of alumni and nonresident students. We also have significant research affiliations with many Pac-10 universities,” Benson said.

The University of Colorado is a premier public research university with four campuses: the University of Colorado at Boulder, the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, the University of Colorado Denver and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
