Executive Director Delivers Keynote Address at NAQ ‘24

The Executive Director of the Coleman Institute, Cathy Bodine, PhD, delivered one of the keynote addresses at the NAQ ’24 Conference. Dr. Bodine’s address was titled “"Changing the Culture: The Future of Smart Home Technology". She delivered her keynote on Thursday, August 8, 2024. In addition to Dr. Bodine, other keynote speakers included Barb Bancroft, RN, Shawn Jeffers, David Morstad, and Helene Segura. More information about the speakers can be found on the conference’s speaker page.

Held in St. Louis, Missouri, this year’s NAQ conference was themed “On Track with Promising Practices.” The conference provided a catalyst for professional growth, inspiration, and collaboration. The goal of the conference was to energize and invigorate attendees to bring back new ideas to share with their colleagues and organizations.

NAQ is the leading national association for disability professionals who support people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). It offers training, professional development, and certification for disability specialists who engage in service planning, service coordination, program development, and advocacy. NAQ supports people with I/DD to flourish and live their best lives by embracing learning, person-centered thinking, high standards of ethical conduct, and promising program practices.
