Nigel Daniels, Outreach and Engagement Manager
Nigel Daniels serves as the Outreach and Engagement Manager for the University of Colorado and is responsible for connecting communities across the Metro area and Northern Colorado to the university system. Nigel previously served as a judicial law clerk in Denver District Court, working in both the domestic relations and criminal court divisions. Previously, Nigel worked as a policy advisor and law clerk at Brownstein, Hyatt, Farber Schreck in Denver, Colorado. Nigel also served as a Senior Advisor to Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock, and in the United States Senate working for Senator Michael Bennet. 

Nigel’s experience in both the private and public sectors has allowed him to build relationships, foster partnerships and make connections across Colorado. His work includes organizing, policy work, advocacy and community engagement, and he has ties to nonprofits and organizations throughout Denver and beyond. 

Nigel has focused his volunteer and community service on improving our community by increasing educational opportunities for the young people of Colorado. Nigel is an active board member for Denver Kids, Inc., the Urban Peak youth shelter, and Better Together Denver. He was recently recognized by Colorado State University as the Distinguished Alumni of the Last Decade for his public and community service.

In law school he served in leadership roles for the Black Law Students Association and the Law School Ambassadors program. He has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver with a certificate in Public Interest lawyering. Nigel is a member of the New Mexico and Washington, D.C. state bars.
