Eligiblity
Eligible nominees include full-time CU tenured, tenure track faculty, instructional, research, and clinical faculty. Self-nominations are not allowed, and previous winners are not eligible to be nominated.
Nomination Requirements
Any member of the university community may submit a nomination. The nomination packet must include:
- a letter of nomination that speaks specifically to exceptional service provided by the nominee to the community;
- two supporting letters from members of the university community who have direct knowledge of the nature and benefit of the community service;
- two supporting letters from individuals outside the university who have direct knowledge of the nature and benefit of the community service; and
- a copy of the nominee’s current curriculum vitae.
Additional supporting information relevant to the criteria may be included.
Selection Process
A system-wide advisory committee comprised of past award recipients will review the nominations and submit its recommendation to the President.
Award Amount
One-time payment of $10,000 to individual faculty. A reception in honor of the recipient on their home campus will take place following the award notification.
