Why did you initially apply to work at CU?  

After I had just gotten married, we relocated from Texas to Colorado. Twenty two years ago, I landed in the Boulder area and my first dream was to work for CU Boulder.

What makes CU a great place to work?

It’s so many things: The beauty of the campus and its surroundings in Boulder, the caring professionals all over the CU-Boulder campus who I work with every day, and the prestige of working for an internationally recognized institution.

What is/are your favorite aspect(s) of working at CU?

My favorite aspect of working for CU is being part of a great institution such as the University of Colorado.

What activities are available for staff members to enjoy together outside of academics?

I love playing golf with my colleagues; and then there are also kickball, broomball and softball tournaments.

What do you enjoy most about living in Colorado? 

For starters, there’s the natural beauty of the state itself, the weather and the exercise culture that emphasizes staying healthy. Plus, I really value the quality of education available at every level for my kids.

What is the best part of your workday?

Human Resources Department has always succeeded creating a great working atmosphere, and my favorite part of the day is socializing with all my colleagues.

What is your favorite location around the campus?

It’s Folsom Field because I love my Buffaloes. Go Buffs!

What is your favorite area restaurant?

The 29th Street Mall because there are so many options.

What do you enjoy doing on your spare time?

I like spending time with my family, playing golf and following our state’s professional sports.
