ABOUT RETENTION RATES: The first-year retention rate measures the percentage of first-year, first-time students who persisted at their home campus a year later. The cohort includes only first-time freshman enrolled full-time (12 or more credit hours). Successful retention is defined as being enrolled at the same institution in the fall term of the following year. Rates are calculated, maintained, and provided by campus institutional research offices.
