Learners can take MOOCs for free, or pay either a monthly subscription or a one-time fee to participate in a course or specialization on Coursera.  You gain access to all learning materials if taking it for free, but by paying the fee, you can get feedback on the assessments and you progress as well as earn a certificate upon completing the course or specialization.
