UCCS Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak gave a presentation to the Senate Education Committee on the impressive collaborative efforts in Southern Colorado in which the campus is engaged.
Dr. Margarita Bianco, Associate Professor at CU Denver’s School of Education and Human Development, and her students testified in support of HB 15-1349, “Grow Your Own Teacher Colorado Initiative."
On April 29, Kathleen Tierney, Ph.D., Director of the Natural Hazards Center and Professor of Sociology in the CU-Boulder Institute of Behavioral Science, and Nnenia Campbell, Research Assistant at the Natural Hazards Center visited Washington, D.C. to participate in the 21st Annual Coalition for National Science Funding (CNSF) Reception and Exhibition.
UCCS partnered with the Army Reserve to host a Cyber Private Public Partnership (Cyber P3) Design Workshop on April 19-22. Representatives from more than 30 universities, corporations and military organizations participated.
On March 23, CU-Boulder had a strong presence at the Colorado Aerospace Day at the Capitol, hosted by the Colorado Space Business Roundtable and the Colorado Space Coalition.
