With a month left in the legislative session, over 500 bills have been introduced and many more are still being drafted. Several of the bills impact CU and we have been working hard to protect and support CU’s interests. There are many other bills we are working on that impact our campus endeavors.
Dr. Dan Theodorescu, Director of the University of Colorado Cancer Center, gave a presentation to the House Public Health and Human Services Committee on research and treatments taking place at the Anschutz Medical Campus.
On January 15, Barbara Paradiso and her students from the University of Colorado Denver School of Public Affairs Center for Domestic Violence visited the capitol. Senator Linda Newell, a true advocate in the field, graciously hosted them as her guests on the Senate floor and spoke with them about her legislative efforts concerning domestic violence.
