Hello All,

We are upgrading CU-Data(Cognos) QA instance from R10 to R11 on Thursday, 6/7/2018, please let me know if you have any questions. We will be planning to upgrade WRT and PROD in coming weeks and sure will communicate about our plan and below is our tentative plan.

We have huge advantages and bug fixes from R6/R10 and we have covered a lot of stuff in our recent R10 Delta session and Developer session we had a month ago.

Here are the Tentative Timelines for an R11 patch for CU-Data QA.

Please review and let me know if you have any issues with it.

June 7 – Sunny will upgrade QA to Cognos R11
June 7 – June 14 – User Testing
June 14 – Sunny will upgrade WRT to Cognos R11
June 17 or June 18 after hours – Sunny will upgrade PRD

need to coordinate with CAM’s team and CU-Data Users.

Reason to Implement on QA:
To make sure all the exciting report we have in PROD (as QA is just as close as PROD) are running without issues.
easy to rollback if we have any critical issues and not to disturb any existing development you are working on WRT.

Highlights in R11:

Bug Fixes from R6 and R10 Patches.  
Portal pages in Cognos Analytics
Better Dashboard performance with support for caching
Reduce risk of un-authorized modification of Report details
