Bob Loosley becomes CU Director of Tax
February 18, 2014 by normandy.roden
The OUC is very pleased to introduce Bob Loosley as our new Director of Tax. Bob's first day at CU is Mon, Feb 24. He is a licensed CPA with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master’s degree in taxation and he has spent over a decade as the Tax & Accounts Payable Manager for Colorado State University.
At CSU, Bob developed extensive experience in payroll benefits and employment tax matters; higher education tax management issues (including unrelated business income tax); departmental compliance with IRS reporting requirements (including successful navigation of actual IRS audits); development/delivery of training programs; preparation/delivery of upper management reports; and, actions and recommendations to minimize the tax, penalty, and interest liability of the University.
Bob succeeds Gail Blandford, who retires this month after serving as CU's Tax Director for over 16 years. We thank Gail for her service ... and welcome Bob to the OUC and to CU.
