We are seeing some problems with the payroll encumbrance entry posted for 10/31/16.

What’s the issue?

HCM is creating over-encumbered salaries for employees who have a combination of monthly and contract pay appointments. The effect can be the appearance of huge deficits for entire departments and schools.

When will it be fixed?

The HCM team has already verified a fix to this problem in a test environment. They hope to migrate the fix to production soon and then re-run encumbrances.
