Director of Tax & Payroll-Benefit Accounting
Adam is responsible for preparing the University of Colorado tax filings and developing and interpreting University tax policies and practices. This involves implementing appropriate safeguards for University tax compliance and ensuring compliance with tax reporting requirements. He also provides guidance and technical tax support (including guidance on taxation of payments made to/for the benefit of international individuals and entities) to other CU System and campus offices.
Adam supervises the OUC’s Tax & Payroll-Benefit Accounting staff. The team is responsible for a variety of functions – including payroll tax return preparation, retirement and benefit collections, overpayment collections, and general ledger account reconciliations – for University of Colorado active employees and retirees. In this capacity, Adam monitors and communicates the financial aspects of the University’s payroll-benefit programs while assuring that appropriate financial controls are in place and implementing best-practice procedures.
