Project Description

Inspections of animal facilities and animal procedural areas has been done on paper forms. I used the RedCAP system to develop forms for these inspections so that they can be done on a computer tablet.

Project Efficiency 

I can quickly run reports on the information gathered for my department i.e. isoflurane use. We also use a lot less paper.

Project Inspiration 

Our inspection sheets were Word documents several pages long. Carrying all that paper was cumbersome. I also wanted all the information in a searchable database.

What Makes You Happiest about this Project?

I love that all this data is searchable. I can quickly run reports that can tell EHS where 4% paraformaldehyde is used or tell facilities what eye wash stations they need to check.
