Joseph D. Tinucci is the Assistant Treasurer at the University of Colorado.  Joe received a BS in Mathematics from Colorado State University, and is both a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP). He has been at the University since 2001, and in this role he manages the University’s banking relationships and consults internally on all aspects of treasury, credit cards, ecommerce, and cash flows.  Prior to joining the University Joe was an independent trainer and consultant specializing in treasury management, electronic payments, and payment and ecommerce security.  His clients included regional and national ACH payment associations, regional and national Treasury associations, and ecommerce companies, and he taught in the Ecommerce Certificate track of the Masters in Technology Management Program of the University of Denver’s University College.  Joe has also been the Executive Director of a regional payments trade association, the CEO of a small financial institution, and a staff auditor for a banking trade association.

Joe is active both locally and nationally in Treasury trade associations, and is on the Board of Directors of the Treasury Institute for Higher Education, a national association chartered to bring best practices in treasury management to colleges and universities.
