Advising and Direction Setting Committees

Vice Chancellors Group (VCG)

The Vice Chancellors Group (VCG) consists of operations and finance leaders across CU focused on aligning goals and strategies, resolving issues and prioritizing multicampus investments. This group makes multicampus, IT investment decisions that are under $5.0 million.  For multicampus, IT investments greater than $5.0 million, the VCG provides approval to discuss with the President and Chancellors, potentially ending with the Board of Regents per Article 13.A.1 for final approval.

IT Governance Executive Committee (sign in required)

IT Governance Executive Committee consists of IT, operations, and finance leaders across CU focused on ensuring alignment of IT and business strategies, overseeing progress of multicampus IT initiatives, evaluating benefits and risks, and endorsing multicampus IT investments. This group makes recommendations to VCG.

IT Leadership Roundtable Committee (sign in required)

The IT Leadership Roundtable is an advising and direction-setting committee within the IT Governance structure consisting of the top 1-2 senior IT leaders from campus and System IT offices. The roundtable is responsible for setting the IT strategic direction for multicampus needs, updating IT and security standards, providing recommendations on multicampus IT investments, and ensuring that multicampus IT priorities serve the academic and research missions of the University of Colorado in an effective manner.

Security Plus Committee

Security Plus Committee consists of IT security leaders across CU and is responsible for creating and endorsing IT security principles and standards, and providing recommendations on multicampus cybersecurity investments. This group makes recommendations to the IT Leadership Roundtable.

Data Governance Executive Council (sign in required)

The Data Governance Executive Council (DGEC) is a cross-campus, cross-functional group of leaders representing each campus and the CU system. The council’s purpose is to provide direction and set priorities for Data Governance to ensure the accessibility and accuracy of data. They provide direction and resources, resolve issues and remove obstacles so data governance objectives and milestones are achieved.  This group makes recommendations to the IT Leadership Roundtable.
