Cure The Red X Of Death

If you try reports in the Cognos Finance folder other than the m-Fin reports, you might encounter this indignity:

We here in the OUC have starting calling this the Red X of Death. Here is the cure.

Do the following, while you are connected to Cognos using MSIE:

1. Tools
2. Internet Options
3. Security tab
4. Select the Trusted Sites zone (the green checkmark).
5. Sites button
6. If gateway.cu.edu is not in the Websites list, add it.
7. Close button
8. Custom Level… button
9. Set the Enable XSS filter to Disable (it’s down almost at the bottom).
10. OK button and Yes button your way out.
