Challenge yourself to learn something new this week! Our CPE Program can help.
No matter what campus you work on, you can sign up to join us for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) at the CU System offices, 1800 Grant St, Denver. We’re offering four courses on Thur, Nov 6:
- Budgeting Basics: What’s the difference between budget-based funds and cash-based funds? How do you identify budgets on financial reports … and how do budgets relate to available resources?
- Microsoft Excel: Working With Large Datasets (INCREASED TO 2 CREDITS AT YOUR REQUEST!): Are you familiar with these formulas and functions in Microsoft Excel? Are you able to manage data and get to the desired outcome efficiently?
- Red Flags Rule (NEW COURSE!): Did you know the University has an Administrative Policy Statement on Collection of Personal Data from Students and Customers? Do you understand how to prevent and manage identity theft among students, parents, and other customers?
- More than Numbers: CU’s (Award-winning) Annual Financial Report and Illustrated Guide (NEW COURSE!): Can you imagine winning an award for an annual financial report? What makes CU’s reporting so special? And how can you apply similar award-winning approaches to the financial information your department needs to communicate?
Registration for the above courses remains open through Tue, Nov 4. We look forward to seeing you!
