CU System Administration – including the Office of University Controller and FSS Help – will close at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, and reopen for normal business hours on Monday, December 2.
December Close will be Friday, February 26
Greetings! Some important news on FIN 9.2.
December Close will be Friday, February 26
The OUC and the campus controllers have agreed that December System close will be Friday, February 26.
What to expect with December close
The rest of this week will be devoted to continuing review and validation of the processes and data that are critical to close.
We encourage you to carefully review your m-Fin reports after December close. You can expect to see corrected information for December business, including items previously identified as having issues (e.g., payroll encumbrances and fringe). F&A will be calculated only for December expenses. Also, while approved December PETS should be reflected in your monthly reports, those that were in error status (debits did not equal credits) will not. We have not run F&A for January and February at this point. UCCS and System departments (only) may still see incorrect reporting of benefit expenses. This is being addressed.
What about January and February close?
We’ll set dates for closing January and February after we complete December.
A few other things to keep in mind
We are all continuing to work through other outstanding issues (PETs that need to be interfaced from HCM, F&A for January and February, etc.) and will communicate more information on these items.
If you identify any other issues, please notify your campus controller’s office or the FinPro Help Desk as soon as possible!
We recognize that some issues may not be resolved by the first month’s close in our new Finance System. We will strive to address any such items as quickly as possible.
We appreciate your hard work!
Getting ready for our first month’s close in FIN 9.2 has been the result of a tremendous collaboration between the OUC, the campus controllers’ offices, sponsored research offices, many campus departments, Employee Services, and UIS. Thank you all for your persistence and patience.
