University Risk Management (URM) provides liability insurance to protect the Board of Regents, the University System Campuses and their employees from actual or alleged negligent acts and omissions while acting in the performance of duties on behalf of the university.

The defense of university employees is controlled by the operation of the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act (CGIA) (CRS 24-10-101 et. seq.), and supported by the URM liability insurance coverage program. The coverage includes automobile liability, general liability and wrongful acts (errors and omissions) insurance.
