Cognos 11

m-Fin is moving to Cognos 11 April 24th.  While the essential functionality of m-Fin reports will remain the same, there are some obvious differences in the Cognos user interface for finding and running reports.  Our existing Cognos system has always been called the CU Reporting System.  The new Cognos 11 based system instead will be known as CU-Data.  For more information, including how to test it out right now, see getting ready for CU-Data.  There are some videos on this web page.  When the videos were created the system had the name CU Analytics, but new replacement videos are coming.

Some m-Fin drills are not working, returning an error message.  We are investigating a solution.

This is solved now, except for drills to student finance detail.  Those we are working on.

Student finance drills are working now.  As always, these drills are not presented to the user unless the user has been granted the SIS reporting role.

Occasionally HTML report output is lacking some of the formatting (dollar amounts left justified, for example).  Work-around is to close the report and re-run it, or change to a different output type as this makes the report render again.
