I am reminded of the character Wesley in the movie The Princes Bride, who was proclaimed "mostly dead."  Our fix mostly gets rid of these silly, distracting, do-nothing icons.  Perhaps IBM will take care of them in a later version of Cognos.  If not, we could move to a new style sheet.  IBM provides us several to pick from.
