Simons is the Chief Compliance Officer and System Title IX Coordinator for the University of Colorado. She reports to the President and oversees the Title IX offices on each campus (Boulder, Denver, Anschutz and Colorado Springs), the University Risk Management Office, and the system ethics and compliance program.
Simons previously served as the Associate Vice Chancellor and Title IX Coordinator at CU Boulder for seven years.
The Chief Compliance Officer has direct authority over university compliance with Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, and other state and federal laws, as well as regent laws and policies, related to protected class discrimination, harassment and sexual misconduct.
