Campus Pride ranks the university as a “Best of the Best” for LGBTQ+ students. The university has five out of five stars in the Campus Pride Index, an overall indicator of institutional commitment to LGBTQ-inclusive policy, program and practice. 

Course Study Programs & Scholarships

LGBTQ Studies at College of Arts and Sciences - Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Studies is an undergraduate program dedicated to the academic study of gender and sexuality. The program offers coursework, programming, and internship opportunities for students looking to explore queer and trans issues through an intersectional lens.

CU Boulder LGBTQ+ focused Scholarships - The Center for Inclusion and Social Change (CISC) is excited to offer opportunities for financial support to CU Boulder students, each created with a unique vision and eligibility requirements. Campus Centers and Offices

Pride Office at Center for Inclusion and Social Change - Our office builds belonging and community for LGBTQ+ students, staff and faculty at CU Boulder. Through an intersectional lens, we strive to create an inclusive campus by educating about LGBTQ+ issues and advocating for the LGBTQ+ community. We aim to empower LGBTQ+ people to embody their identities with pride and celebrate their experiences as part of our community.

Student Groups

Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA) - No matter how you identify: gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual or allied, the Gender & Sexuality Alliance welcomes you. GSA hosts events throughout the year,  including the annual Drag Show, queer sex education and Queer Formal.

Out in STEM (oSTEM) - Out in STEM (oSTEM) provides networking opportunities, professional development, social events and a safe space for the LGBTQ+ STEM students at CU Boulder.

Queer and Trans People of Color - Queer and Trans People of Color (QTPOC) is a social group for students of color who identify as LGBTQ+.

Bring Your Own Gender - Bring Your Own Gender (BYOG) is a social and support group for students who are transgender, nonbinary, gender-questioning and gender-creative. 

Employee Groups & Programs

CU Boulder Faculty Assembly Diversity Commitee - The Diversity Committee addresses issues affecting underrepresented faculty of protected classes. Members also serve on the Chancellor’s Advisory Committees, as well as appropriate Faculty Council committees. The committee participates actively with the Office of Diversity Equity and Community Engagement (ODECE), as well as the Office of Faculty Affairs.

Employee Affinity Groups - Affinity groups are collegial groups for faculty and staff and are typically formed around a shared identity, common bond and a commitment to historically minoritized or underserved people at CU Boulder.

Staff Council Committee for Advancing Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging - The Committee for Advancing Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging supports the University of Colorado Boulder’s efforts to advance diversity and equity by providing the campus community with opportunities to extend their knowledge, perspectives, and experiences vital to performing effectively in a culturally diverse and globally connected society.

Center for Teaching & Learning Inclusivity Programs - Teaching with a focus on inclusivity requires a proactive stance: designing classroom spaces, practices, and content to include all types of student diversity that exist, seen or unseen.
