On April 29, Kathleen Tierney, Ph.D., Director of the Natural Hazards Center and Professor of Sociology in the CU-Boulder Institute of Behavioral Science, and Nnenia Campbell, Research Assistant at the Natural Hazards Center visited Washington, D.C. to participate in the 21st Annual Coalition for National Science Funding (CNSF) Reception and Exhibition.
UCCS partnered with the Army Reserve to host a Cyber Private Public Partnership (Cyber P3) Design Workshop on April 19-22. Representatives from more than 30 universities, corporations and military organizations participated.
On March 23, CU-Boulder had a strong presence at the Colorado Aerospace Day at the Capitol, hosted by the Colorado Space Business Roundtable and the Colorado Space Coalition.
On March 24-25, CU-Boulder Chancellor Phil DiStefano met with members of the Colorado congressional delegation in Washington, DC to discuss campus student success and affordability initiatives, as well as university federal priorities.
With a month left in the legislative session, over 500 bills have been introduced and many more are still being drafted. Several of the bills impact CU and we have been working hard to protect and support CU’s interests. There are many other bills we are working on that impact our campus endeavors.
