DELAYED: GDS Update in Concur
This past Spring, the PSC Travel Team announced a behind the scenes update expected to go live in the Concur Travel platform this July. This update will replace the global distribution system (GDS) that enables airline bookings in Concur (and agent bookings with Christopherson Business Travel) at our negotiated carrier rates. While preparing for this update, however, we learned of an unresolved issue affecting the availability of certain travel segments in the Concur system with the new GDS. The newly revealed issue does not have a clear timeframe for resolution and as such we will be delaying our update to allow time for additional troubleshooting and remedies to occur.
We continue to work closely with our travel program partners to ensure the coming update in Concur will be as seamless as possible for all end users. A revised date for the GDS update will be announced once this latest issue is resolved, and all other components are ready for the release. As a reminder, once the date for the update is determined, Concur will have an expected downtime of one business day to complete the cutover.
