Shipment Delays from Fisher Scientific Expected Over Memorial Day Holiday
Fisher Scientific distribution centers are closed for the Memorial holiday on Monday, May 29th. Customers originally scheduled for the cancelled FDL routes on Monday, May 29th will not receive a delivery until their next scheduled delivery day after the holiday.
All orders normally scheduled to deliver on Tuesday, May 30st and received by 2:00 p.m. (local time) on Friday, May 26th will be picked and packed on Friday for delivery on Tuesday, May 30st.
Consistent with standard procedures, media or temperature-sensitive freight will not be tendered to common carriers (LTL or parcel) on Friday. LTL and parcel carriers will operate with minimal staffing on Monday, May 29th. Virtually all common carriers deliveries will be made on Tuesday, May 30st for shipments tendered on Friday, May 26th.
Media or temperature-sensitive orders normally scheduled for Monday delivery on FDL will be processed Friday, May 26th and kept under refrigeration for delivery on Tuesday, May 30st.
FDL will not operate on Monday May 30th.
