Congratulations are in order! We’re pleased to recognize retiring Associate Vice President & University Controller Bob Kuehler, and his replacement, new AVP & University Controller Kristine McNamara!

Bob served in the University Controller role for nearly sixteen years, coming to the University of Colorado from his previous position as a partner at one of the Big Four accounting firms, KPMG. His focus over the past years has been to strengthen partnerships between System Administration and the campuses, lead engagement with external auditors, and generally improve transparency into CU’s accounting. An outstanding teacher, Bob also promoted the development of the OUC’s Continuing Professional Education for Certified Public Accountants (CPE for CPAs) Program. Bob is looking forward to being active in a number of volunteer/service roles in his post-retirement future.

Taking on the role now is Kristine McNamara, the OUC’s former Director of Accounting Services. Kristine has led Accounting Services at CU for nearly fifteen years and has been integrally involved in working with the campus controllers, state controller, and state auditor to prepare the external financial reports and to ensure that CU fiscal practices comply with regent policies, other external and internal rules and regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles. Kristine is a graduate of Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario, Canada) and holds a Colorado CPA license. Prior to joining CU, she worked in public accounting in Colorado.

Congratulations to both Bob and Kristine!
