  • 2024-25 MAINTENANCE WINDOWS ANNOUNCED - University-wide collaboration results in a 12-month production and nonproduction maintenance schedule.
  • CU-SIS SOLUTION WINS CU I&E GRAND PRIZE. New automations will save campus Financial Aid Offices an estimated 1,500 hours per year.
  • CU Security+ implements an SIEM solution.  IT security teams united to select and deploy a new Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) system to protect CU from cybercriminals.
  • Automated conflict-of-interest process saves UCCS time and Money. A UIS and UCCS collaboration on a modernized Conflict of Interest disclosure process that saves 50-–60 hours and estimated cost savings between $80–$90K.
  • TeamDynamix: the new UIS IT Service Management tool. After gathering feedback from many CU System departments and a rigorous selection process, TeamDynamix (TDX) will replace Cherwell by June 2025.
  • NEW EMAIL RETENTION STANDARD. Starting Sept. 3: Emails in the Deleted Items folder within Outlook will be deleted after 30 days.

Congratulations to the 2024 CU Innovation and
Efficiency (I&E) Award recipients within UIS!


Rick Rowcotsky, Rakesh Vangapti, Brad Baker and Mayank Mittal received the grand prize, the University Controller’s Award for Excellence, for their CU-SIS automations that will save campus Financial Aid Offices an estimated 1,500 hours per year.

The Multicampus Security Log Monitoring group won for their collaboration on the new Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) tool. CU information security teams united to select, procure and deploy a new SIEM system to protect CU more effectively and efficiently from cybercriminals.

The ODIN Subscriptions group also won an I&E award for creating data replication and messaging techniques, allowing near real-time CU PeopleSoft database changes to flow into ODIN.
