UIS Highly Active at Oracle Alliance 2015 Conference – Lisa Carr and Matthew Glover

UIS is a strategic partner to Oracle, CU’s provider for our enterprise application systems like the portal, student, human resources and finance systems. As such, our staff are highly skilled in all aspects of implementing Oracle PeopleSoft solutions and are thus offering several presentations at Oracle’s Alliance conference March 15-18, 2015.

This week, we look at UIS’s offerings within Alliance’s Admissions and Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) tracks. According to Alliance, Admissions track sessions inform about the starting point for student relationships because “Admissions plays a key role in getting students in the door - beginning with the recruitment of prospects and on to an offer of admission being made to an applicant.” CRM track sessions “include informative presentations relating to Oracle’s PeopleSoft for Higher Education CRM product as well as their cloud product offerings” that increase “productivity related to recruiting, retention and fundraising for higher education institutions.”

Matthew Glover, Admissions Application Manager, is presenting a deep dive session focused on how CU manages the large variety of file types we load cross-campus for prospects, test scores and applications entitled File parser in the admissions life-cycle. The session’s goal is to illustrate the elements of a successful implementation to attendees considering implementing Oracle’s File Parser. Matthew is a member of Oracle’s Higher Education User Group‘s (HEUG)   Admissions Product Advisory Group (PAG), serving in the capacity of Training Liaison.1 In this role, he is “responsible for gathering information regarding current training available, additional training needs, new options, development and deployment of training.”

Lisa Carr, CRM Application Manager, is presenting a session focused on CU’s implementation of PeopleSoft CRM 9.2’s enhanced ability to send personalized emails using the Online Marketing Tool. Lisa’s presentation, entitled Tips on implementing PeopleSoft CRM 9.2 online marketing enhancements without losing your mind, focuses on CU’s successes and pain points implementing this functionality. Lisa serves as Assistant Track Chair in the HEUG’s CRM PAG. Lisa held the role of Track Chair in the past and this experience helps her support the current Track Chair to ensure the success of the CRM Track at this year’s conference.  Responsibilities include attending audio-conferences and planning meetings – usually monthly calls –assisting the Chair as needed in scheduling sessions, working with presenters, editing copy and miscellaneous activities.”
