Like all technology, AI offers opportunities and risks. For privacy, equity and data protection purposes, selecting and using these new tools require careful consideration.

AI Resources

In addition to the CU System AI Guidance, which was summed up in a previous Tech Tip, UIS now offers an AI Resources webpage with information about specific AI tools.

You can confidently use AI tools listed as already reviewed by OIS and supported by the UIS Service Desk.  The page currently provides information on the following tools:

• Copilot for the web

• Zoom AI Companion

• Adobe Firefly

• Salesforce Einstein

The AI Resources page also provides information about tools that are currently under review and those that are not recommended for use by CU System Administration due to security issues. The page also serves as a one-stop shop with links to related CU and state policies, campus AI resources, and trusted sources for those looking to learn more about AI in general.

UIS offers resources to enable CU System employees to explore AI's potential while maintaining security as CU’s top priority. Any use of AI tools should begin with a review of the AI Guidance put together by OIS. Then, check whether the specific AI tool you are interested in has been reviewed by OIS by visiting AI Resources.
