Sarah completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Ball State University and has 14 years of experience in admissions and recruitment, new student orientation, and enrollment. She is on the CU-SIS team as a business systems analyst, focusing on the admissions module and collaborating with campus clients on admissions operations within Campus Solutions. In her free time, Sarah enjoys attending concerts, spending time outdoors and traveling. |

Abeje (pronounced as), joins the Integrations team and brings extensive experience in the data integrations domain, particularly with the MuleSoft platform and DevOps tools. He will primarily focus on integrating data in and out of several different CRM Salesforce applications UIS supports. Abeje and his family live in Aurora, and are excited about a new career opportunity close to home. His family of three enjoys walking and spending time outdoors. They are also expecting their second child, a daughter, in September. |

Prior to CU, Jackson worked as an assistant director in the University of North Texas student accounting office for three years and as an IT business analyst at Regis University. He joins UIS from his home in Moore, Okla., as a business systems analyst for the Grants team. Jackson spends his free time playing soccer, fishing with friends or wondering why his cat, Milo, is always so angry. |

Sarah Goletz joins UIS as a senior CRM administrator. Sarah brings a combination of higher education and Salesforce knowledge to the team. She has worked with Salesforce for eight years and has worked with many different universities on their Salesforce platforms. This past year, Sarah moved to a small rural town in Northwest Indiana after spending a decade living in Indianapolis. She is an avid foodie. When she’s not exploring the area's food scene, she spends time with family and her three nephews, reading or biking the latest trail. |

Thaala earned her degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and is a proud graduate of the CU Boulder MBA program (Go Buffs!). With over 15 years of experience driving change initiatives at Apple, Goldman Sachs, and within the public and nonprofit sectors, Thaala joins UIS as the new Principal Organizational Change Manager on the Data Governance and Management team. She is excited to lead the people side of change, fostering collaboration, resilience and alignment. Outside of work, Thaala enjoys traveling, hiking and exploring new music with her family. |

Jeff Foster has 17 years of experience in higher education marketing, communications and brand management. As the assistant director of Digital Marketing in CRM, he leads a team of professionals responsible for multi-channel marketing, web, social media, content strategy and design production management. He collaborates with campus partners to help develop their strategies and ensure their goals are achieved. Jeff enjoys reading and outdoor adventuring with his wife and their 8- and 10-year-old kids in his free time. |

Drew has 17 years of experience in IT at CU. He joined the UIS Integrations team in 2022 where he contributed to the launch of CU People, the university’s master data management (MDM) platform. Now, as a Senior MDM Engineer, Drew will continue to shape the platform to support the ever-changing integrations ecosystem. In his spare time, he enjoys visiting theme parks and movie theaters. |

Senior CU People Engineer IT Service Management (ITSM) Manager |
Kevin joined UIS in 2012 as a business analyst and has held a variety of support roles, most recently as the principal IT Service Management engineer representing the ITSM program. As ITSM Manager, Kevin is leading the replacement of Cherwell with TeamDynamix, the Work Intake phase of the UIS Service Framework, and the building of the ITSM team. In his free time, Kevin enjoys participating in Broomfield’s U.S. Masters Swim Team. |
Alicia Pickell | 8/1/24 | IT Service Management Administrator |
Alicia joined UIS in 2017 as a student assistant on the Business Operations team before transitioning into the Executive Assistant position. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and her master’s degree in Information Systems from CU Denver. This summer, Alicia stepped into the IT Service Management Administrator role. She is eager to leverage her CU education, experience and certifications in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL 5) and business analysis (ECBA) to enhance UIS practices, tools and documentation. Alicia will play a key role in supporting UIS initiatives, like Service Management and the TeamDynamix implementation. In 2023, Alicia relocated from Denver to Richmond, VA., with her partner, Manny. She enjoys all things related to food, reading, puzzles and Dad jokes. |

Quality Assurance Test Lead |
Tanya has been with the UIS Quality Assurance team since November 2017, moving from Principal Test Coordinator to QA Test Lead in August. Tanya’s main focus is to educate teams on QA methodology and best practices while providing consistent processes and procedures, all with a bit of humor and fun. She loves working with a variety of teams, campuses and all levels at CU. Outside of work, Tanya loves to hang out with her wife and 3 dogs and to spend time with her neighbors. She loves having fun and trying to win in Blackhawk at the Craps or Roulette tables. |

Throughout her career, Sarah has worn many hats, primarily in brand and client services, ranging from account management to project management to creative development. In her new role, Sarah will assist in overseeing the creative process from concept to completion for marketing content related to online programs. She will partner with the CRM team to manage cross-team collaboration and project work. When she’s not chasing after her 1-year-old daughter, Sarah enjoys competing in indoor and outdoor volleyball leagues and participating in the occasional softball tournament. |
Janet Bravo | 8/1/24 | Senior Cybersecurity Training and Awareness Coordinator |
Janet joined CU and the Office of Information Security in June 2019. She began her security career 20 years ago at a large financial institution and previously worked for the State of North Carolina, where she developed employee training programs. In her current role, Janet is responsible for developing CU’s mandatory Information Security Awareness course and managing the OIS website. Additionally, she supports campus security teams in their outreach initiatives. Janet relocated to Colorado from North Carolina, eager to explore new hiking trails, enjoy the abundant snow, and experience lower humidity. She’s enjoyed discovering the kindness and humor of Coloradans. |

Before joining UIS, Samantha spent four years as a business analyst for the State of Tennessee. After relocating to Colorado, she worked as a contractor for the Department of Energy, managing award closeouts. Samantha joined UIS as a business systems analyst in 2018. In her new role as the principal solutions manager on the UIS Grants Team, she will focus on broad improvements for grants and sponsored projects offices, allowing her to grow as a leader within her team. In her free time, Samantha enjoys bookbinding, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her husband and two dogs. |
Virginia Nystrom | 9/30/24 | Senior Quality Assurance Engineer |
As a CU Boulder student (Sko Buffs!), Virginia worked at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics in Mission Operations and joined CU System in 2022. In her new role as Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, Virginia will be the product manager for the LoadRunner Performance Testing Tool, while continuing to expand and improve upon QA services such as browser compatibility testing, continuous functional testing, and maintenance window testing. Virginia spends her free time painting in her art studio, where her masterpieces are inspired by Nimbus the Cat and Bruce the Dog. |
