Open Enrollment ends May 10
If you are covered by a CU Health Plan, you have until 5 p.m. Friday, May 10, to make any changes to your health plans. If you do not take any action, you will automatically be re-enrolled in the same health plans you participated in the 2018-2019 plan year, minus your flexible spending account(s). If you have an FSA and want to continue in the new plan year, you must make a new election during Open Enrollment.
Consider your options
Medical, dental and vision plans can only be adjusted during Open Enrollment. To view which plans you are eligible for, visit the Open Enrollment home webpage and select the tile that best describes you. Rates for each plan can be viewed here.
This is the only time you can enroll or re-enroll in an FSA. You have access to two different types of FSAs: Health Care and Dependent Care. Learn about the difference between these two account types on the FSA webpage.
If you are covered by CU Health Plan - High Deductible, you have the unique option to open a health savings account (HSA) at any point throughout the year, provided that you are not enrolled in Health Care FSA at the same time.
To learn more about the qualifications and rules regarding HSAs and FSAs, please consult the governing federal document: IRS Publication 969.
Open Enrollment ends Friday, May 10
