This 30-minute course provides an introduction to compliance at Health and Wellness Services including FERPA, HIPAA, State of Colorado laws, University of Colorado regulations, and internal policies.

This course is lasts approximately 10-15 minutes and required for all CU Boulder Health and Wellness Services (HWS) employees. It aims to educate participants on the expectations and guidelines for maintaining the confidentiality of various HWS records and information, ensuring compliance with relevant federal and state laws, as well as university and HWS policies.

CU: Navigating Practice Management This course is required once for all new hires at the Medical Clinic and should be completed within the first two weeks of your start date. This 40-minute course provides an overview of the Medicat system, which is used to manage electronic health records at the Wardenburg Health Center’s Medical Clinic. You must take the quiz and score 80% or higher to receive credit for completing this course.

CU: Point-of-Care Rapid A Strep Annual Competency This course is required for all medical staff that perform strep testing at Medical Services at Wardenburg Health Center, CU Boulder. This 20-minute course describes the process of performing the OSOM Ultra Strep A Rapid Throat Screen and related quality control testing.

CU: Point-of-Care Urine Pregnancy (hCG) Annual Competency Assessment This course is required for all medical staff who perform urine point-of-care testing at Medical Services, Wardenburg Health Center, CU-Boulder. This 15-minute is required for all medical staff who perform urine point-of-care testing at Medical Services, Wardenburg Health Center, CU-Boulder. Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to perform pregnancy testing and related quality control testing.

CU: Wardenberg Infection Control Required for all employees. This 45-minute course is required for all Wardenberg staff members to identify the benefits of adhering to scientifically accepted principles and practices of infection control to our patients, our staff, and our families. In this course, you will learn about the different ways that pathogens can spread and what you can do to prevent this spread. The course includes a track for clinical staff as well as a track for non-clinical staff.

CU: Skills for Mental Health Support Recommended for CU Boulder staff. This 15-minute course cintroduces the Recognize, Respond, and Refer framework you can follow when a member of the CU Boulder community is experiencing mental health challenges. This course is a prerequisite for the in-person Recognize, Respond, Refer: Skills and Practice course.
