The International Tax Guide for Nonresident Aliens includes an overview of the tax filing process, but we understand that filing can be overwhleming. While, the International Tax Office cannot directly help you file or provide personal tax advice, we do have a collection of reliable resources that can answer your questions and help you file your tax returns.
Get help filing your taxes
To assist with U.S. tax return preparation, nonresident alien students and employees who are sponsored by CU have the option to use Sprintax software.
All eligible international students and scholars received an access code to Sprintax Returns through their CU-affiliated email for 2024. If you have not received an access code by March 8, 2024, email intltax@cu.edu.

Additionally, the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free basic preparation services through for those who qualify based on income, disability or limited English fluency.
