PERA 457 Voluntary Retirement Plan: How to enroll
Instructions
This application allows for contributions from an employee's salary towards a PERA 457 tax-deferred annuity.
PERA Members
Login to your PERA account to enroll in the PERA 457 plan.
You may change your contribution amount by logging on to your PERA account. Changes must be received by 2 p.m. (MT) on the 25th of the month or the first business day after in order to be effective for the following month or the following payroll period, whichever is later.
Non-PERA Members:
- Complete the PERAPlus 457 Participant Information Form. Be sure to review, sign and date the form.
- Submit the form using the secure, online PERA Form upload area by 5 p.m. on the 10th of the month. If it is received after the 10th of the month the form will be processed the next month. (You may also fax the completed form to Employee Services at 303-860-4299).
- Employee Services will send the form to PERA, and PERA will mail a PIN directly to you.
- Once you receive your PIN in the mail, login to your new PERA account to enroll in the 457.
- You may change your contribution amount by logging on to your PERA account. Changes must be received by 2 p.m. (MT) on the 25th of the month or the first business day after in order to be effective for the following month or the following payroll period, whichever is later.
- After the expected pay period processes, login to your PERA account to manage your new account.
- Name your beneficiaries
- Allocate your investment strategy
- Each month, verify your paycheck is correct and deductions reflect in your PERA account.
