CU’s employment, income verification service moves to Experian Verify on March 3

Employees applying for a loan, government program, housing or other services may need to provide verification of employment and salary through the University of Colorado. Starting March 3, CU employees can provide proof of their employment and income with Experian Verify.

Currently, CU uses CCC Verify, an online service that enables organizations such as lenders and government agencies to access key employment data for CU employees. This platform is being merged into Experian Verify, meaning employees and employers will access the verification portal at experianverify.com.

For those professionals at CU who are authorized to manage more administrative features and access employee data, Experian Verify’s employer portal allows you to:

  • View the history of all previously generated verifications.
  • Create new verification reports or letters on behalf of employees.
  • Submit requests for verification to the Experian Verify customer support for processing.
  • Access reports of verification trends.
  • Download user aids for employees or verifiers.

Experian Verify allows employees to:

  • Grant requesting organizations secure access to their employment verification and salary information.
  • Access their own employment report to review for accuracy and/or share it with requesting organizations.
  • Provide current employment and salary information.

Using Experian Verify starting March 3

Employees are not required to establish an account for outside organizations to verify their CU employment information through Experian Verify, but they will need to create an account to view their own reports, access work history and verification letters. Those who already have a CCC Verify account will need to create a new one with Experian Verify.

CCC Verify will still be available for employees, verifiers and HR offices to access reports for a short time while this transition is made, but will be discontinued after April 3.

The Employment Verification information page will be updated with Experian Verify details on March 3 with instructions for employees, companies and government entities.

The Experian Verify FAQ page offers information for verifiers, employers and employees. If users have questions or experience problems not covered on the Experian website, they can contact customer support at verify.support@experian.com.
