AI tools can offer greater efficiency and even enhance employee training, but the first thing any University of Colorado employee should know before trying any AI tool is how to select and use such tools safely.

Know the rules for using AI tools at CU

It’s most important that you understand and carefully follow the university’s information security and data classification policies.

Remember that using any AI tool means you’re inputting information into a third-party platform. Exercise the utmost discretion when interacting with these tools.

CU’s recently upgraded Skillsoft Percipio learning platform features an expanded library of courses, ebooks, and audiobooks, many of which focus on AI.

Skillsoft Percipio also offers a library of AI simulators to help users practice difficult conversations, complex problem-solving situations and other interactions. Some relevant simulators include:

• Select AI Simulations. From there, you can narrow the options by selecting from the available channels such as “First Time People Manager Simulations” or “Customer Service Simulations,” or you can scroll down to see the full library of simulations.
